Bank of America Donates $5,000

The Access Community Action Agency was recently awarded $5,000 by the Bank of America toward provision of financial literacy programming to serving low-income adults and youth. Access runs a number of programs designed to support individuals and families in building and accumulating assets toward economic stability. Access Heating Assistance Receives Assistance!

Congressman Joe Courtney presents Peter DeBiasi of the Access Community Action Agency with over $2,000 in donations toward Access’ Emergency Energy Assistance program. The funds were raised at a recent holiday meet-and-greet event for the public sponsored by the Quiet Corner Democrats at Tyrone Farms in Pomfret. Numerous state and local leaders, including Congressman Chris Murphy, Attorney General George Jepsen, and Comptroller Kevin Lembo, as well as State Representatives Mae Flexer, Danny Rovero, Gregg Haddad and Tom ReynoldsCongressman Chris Murphy, Attorney General George Jepsen, Comptroller Kevin Lembo, and State Representatives Mae Flexer, Danny Rovero, Gregg Haddad, and Tom Reynolds, attended the event.
