PEP Specialist - In support of the Access mission and purpose, the Parent Education Specialist will facilitate parent education programs utilizing a child center curriculum. Provide education, training and counseling to program participants in order to help them and their children adjust to issues concerning divorce, separation, family restructuring, family violence, child development, and family dynamics. Increase parents’ child support and their involvement with their children. This is a per diem position ($35 per hour); individuals applying must have a Bachelor degree in Human Development and/or Family Studies and 3 years experience facilitating educational groups. This person must be available in the evenings for classes and work about 6 hours per month.
Adolescent Group Home is looking for self motivated and dedicated individuals for the following positions:
Substitute Transitional Coach provides primary support on the milieu with the residents. Duties include but not limited to: supervision of residents during all aspects of the routine and ensures the safety of residents. Requirements are: high school diploma or GED, with 2 years experience working with adolescents or an associate’s degree with 1 year experience working with adolescents. Base rate:$13.00 per hour.
Must obtain state mandated pre-employment fitness for duty certification including a tuberculosis test. Must be able to transport residents as needed and work a flexible schedule. Other positions may be available.

Adolescent Group Home is looking for a self-motivated and dedicated individual for the following positions:
Transitional Living Coordinator provides primary support and case management of assigned residents in all aspects of the program in order to ensure they successfully transition to a more independent living situation. Requirements are: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field and at least one year of experience working with adolescents. Base rate is $17 per hour.
Transitional Coach - In support of Access’s mission and purpose, this position will coach and supervise activities to ensure the safety of residents of a transitional living facility for young ladies in the Norwich and Danielson areas. This person will mediate and resolve conflicts when necessary, aid residents in the development of life skills and meeting the objectives of their treatment plans while providing behavioral support and crisis intervention. Assist clients in formulating skills to aid in their navigation of the community. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with 2 years experience working with adolescents or an associate’s degree with 1 year experience working with adolescent females. Must use good judgment, maintain confidentiality and work well with a diverse group of residents and staff. Must be able to obtain state mandated pre-employment fitness for duty certification including a test for tuberculosis and possess basic computer skills. Current drivers license from state of residence with safe driving record and reliable transportation a must. Communicate effectively in both the written and spoken word. Base rate: $13.00. Closing date: 5/27/08. This person must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
